Give and take gifts are very popular traditions all over the world.
But in our Indian culture money as a gift is an extremely popular tradition.
Here, I would like to tell you about an occasion when I received money as a gift.
The occasion was my 12th standard result.
I got a very good result in my 12th Standard. So my father invited all my family members and friends for the worship of Lord Ganesh and there was a small party at my home.
But my friends forced me to throw a big party in a 5-star hotel.
Unfortunately, I did not have much savings at that time, to give a party to my friends.
But luckily my grandparents gave me money as blessings at that time.
They are very loving and humble.
Since my grandparents are too old, they could not go to the market to buy a gift for me.
Moreover, they were not sure about what gift they should buy for me, which will make me happy.
So they decided to give money as a gift for my results and I was very happy with that.
I then thanked my grandparents.
I also told them that I will use the money to give a party to my friends.
They wished me good luck with the party.
I had a great time with my friends.
So this was the occasion when I received money as a gift and I was very happy to receive it.
