Describe
something special that you bought home from a tourist place.
Traveling and
exploring new placing is my favorite leisure time activity.
In last winter
I and my family planned to enjoy Runn Utsav which is organized by Gujarat
tourism every year in the winter season at Dhordo in Kutch district of Gujarat.
As a border
state, Kutch is constantly absorbing cultures from the north, west, and east.
Kutchi motifs can be traced to the ancient Harappa civilization, yet craft is
developing and growing with the innovative and derived of spirited artists.
When I visited
this Runn Utsav, I enjoyed it's beautiful ‘Bhungo’ residence with Kutchi dance
at night while dinner.
On the next day, I visited the special handicraft bazaar of Dhordo.
I saw so many
handicraft items but one of the handicraft camel woolen shawl captured my view.
Local people articulated positives that camels produce high-quality wool, that
is very warm water-resistant and highly durable so.
I purchased
camel wooled shawl for winter its price range starts from 2700 to 6000. Only
vegetable colors are used in its manufacturing, which makes it more
attractive and of course it depicts culture.
These shawls are mostly available in
white color and eye-catching sewing art of needlework which associates with
ponderous aspects of life and flora and fauna designs.
When I came back to my
home, I gifted it to
my granny. She became so happy after receiving such gifts.
