Describe an important tree (plant) in your country.

India is a green country.

More than 50 percent of the Indian economy depends on agriculture.

In India, Tulsi (kind of basil) is considered as a holy plant.

In Indian culture people prefer to plant it as it is considered to be very  auspicious.

The women in the family usually worship the plant and pray for the health and wealth of the family.

In my house also there is tulsi plant in the veranda.

Daily, my mother worships the plant in the morning as well as in the evening.

For Indians, tulsi is avatar of Lord Laxmi, which brings prosperity to the family.

The leaves of tulsi are edible and have a wonderful taste which is somewhat like mint.

Hence it can be used in cooking, with which it gives wonderful flavour to dishes.

Along with that tulsi leaves have various health benefits, such as it helps in carrying cough and cold.

I personally have experienced it whenever I have headache or cold. I prefer to drink tea with tulsi in it and that gives me immense pleasure.

As tulsi is considered as holy plant and it also have numerous health benefits.

I can say that it is one of the important plant of India.
